We are currently advertising shares in this NEW boat at £62,500.00 per 1/8 share. Up to 30 percent of the boat's value is available or a full buy out. This is a brand new boat still in build, some details are still to be specified.
The USP of the boat is essentially that of an (almost) fossil fuel free Silent-Yacht. The Broadblue 346 is small enough to make a passage through the French canals to the Mediterranean, but robust enough to carry a Category A RCD certificate, all with 2m headroom throughout the boat. This catamaran is easily handled for families and those who prefer to be just passengers.
This boat is a BB346 adapted for mastless motor power operation as a solar electric trawler; powered by six 48V ePropulsion E163 LiFePO propulsion batteries (50kWh) driving twin ePropulsion 6kW pod motors for a cruising speed of 5kn to 6.5kn. An additional house/multipurpose 48V LiFePO bank of 12kWh to power 12V house circuitry, 230V AC circuitry and recharge the 2 solar electric dinghy tenders. The solar panel estate will comprise 4000Wp nominal on a large GRP bimini. The envisaged typical operation are coastal hops of around 40 nm per day which would typically require little if any shore power recharging. For longer passage making twin 48V petrol generators and a 20 square metre kite sail will provide supplemental propulsive power.
The boat will be registered shortly in either Gibraltar or Jersey and is expected to be transferred to the UK for sea trials in May before being berthed initially in the Channel islands in preparation for a planned transfer to the Western Mediterranean during the 2025 summer season.
